This month’s exercise is the pectoral stretch or chest stretch. We spend most of the day in a hunched over position. We hunch over the computer, over the steering wheel, sink into a couch and let our shoulders slump forward. This can cause the muscles in the front of our body to become very strong and our back to weaken. Performing this stretch 5-7 days a week, along with proper back exercises 2-3 times a week you can maintain great posture!
Stand perpendicular to the wall. Place your arm slightly lower than shoulder height. Turn away from the arm on the wall. Stop when you feel a gentle stretch and hold it for 30 seconds.
